FIRST AID FOR HEALTHCARE ASSISTANTS AND CARERS (ENNIS)

Description:

This 1-day certified course for Carers & Health Care Assistants or persons contemplating entering the Health Care sector has been developed to meet the needs for Carers/HCAs in home care or Care Settings. It equips the Carers/HCAs with the skills, confidence and knowledge to help specific groups they are responsible for, in a medical emergency and who simply want to be able to make a difference.
Participants will be in the position to confidently assist a client, loved one or resident, who suddenly collapses, falls ill or is injured.

Prompt and appropriate first aid, saves lives, can prevent a minor injury becoming a major one as well as reducing pain and scarring. It also makes everyone more risk aware and gives carers & HCAs and those they are caring for peace of mind that they can help in a medical emergency.

This course is highly practical in nature and will provide the Participants with the necessary skills to carry out their duties as a First Aider. The course facilitates up to 8 participants who will be taught with practical teaching aids, DVD’s and classroom styled presentations.
