Description:
This course is aimed at healthcare workers or those aiming to enter the healthcare sector. All employees must be trained in manual handling techniques at least as per the General Applications Regulations 2007 (Part 2 Chapter 4).This includes the handling and movement of people including training in the use of hoists etc.

- Manual Handling Risk Assessment
- Principles of Safe Patient Handling
- Principles of Safe Patient Handling and Team work
- Use of Hoists and Lifting Equipment
- Patient & Manual Handling Practical Sessions
Qualification Achieved:
Successful candidates will receive a Safe-T-Group Patient Handling Certificate of Training.
Course Pre-Requiste Requiremnts:
The course contains elements of practical skills and demonstrations. Attendees should wear loose, comfortable clothing to allow them to participate in the practical elements of the course, participants ideally should not wear jeans, boots or hiking boots. Ideally tracksuit bottoms or leggings as well as closed flat shoes or runners.
